How to hang Canvas Art Always try to hang your art work in full view . Ideally over a fireplace or sofa but out of direct sunlight. If hanging a large canvas make sure there is plenty of empty space on the wall to get the full potential from the artwork and to make it your focal point. A wall or picture light could be placed above the painting to give stunning results and will become a talking point. If you have two paintings the same size you could hang these as a pair( Example A). known as Diptych. making sure they are level at the top. If hanging paintings on a long stair wall a pair of paintings can be given a longer view( Example B). On long walls three paintings may be hung together, this is known as triptych. ( Example C )

Looking after your unframed canvas
artwork
Canvas artwork can be easily stretched if not handled properly. Carrying should
be done by the stretchers only taking care not to put pressure on the canvas
face. Avoid hanging in direct sunlight and in moist areas such as bathrooms.
cleaning can be carried out with a feather duster to remove dust particles. If a
painting accidentally gets soiled then a damp cloth can be carefully taken over
the face of the canvas. On no account must you use a wet cloth on the rear of
the painting as this will shrink the canvas.
